If i remember correct (from an older and different project) the firmware upload 
is done with the
EZ-USB protocol, there is no custom software bootloader inside the chip. But 
the reverse engineering
include hardware and software skills and not only the protocol stuff.

You should look what kind of copyright cypress use original for this lib and 
ask cypress if they
sell the source to keil or it is always "free" and ask Keil why they give out 
this modified source
without any copyright information (honey pot).
