The OpenOCD maintainers would gladly accept well worked out patches
in this area!
They indeed do not feature any MMUs, so threading seems like the logical
choice from a user's point of view.
This is a sizable amount of work and would require somebody to do it
as part of their day-time job I think.
I realize that, but thanks for the warning. ;-)
However, the only two options I have are starting from scratch, or using
OpenOCD as a base and adding the required support for threading/1149.7/etc.
So I guess no matter what I chose, a lot of effort will need to be
invested...
