./configure --enable-ft2232_ftd2xx --with-ftd2xx-linux-tardir=<path_to>/libftd2xx0.4.16 --prefix=/home/user/bin/openOCD is not > Also, ./configure --enable-ft2232_libftdi --prefix=/home/root/bin/openOCD. Specify "with-ftd2xx-linux-tardir" and then it should work.
