Is the idea to make a release already dead? rc2 was the last (3 weeks
ago) and there were huge plans to have six of such release candidates.
There were not many new patches in the repository, maybe not enough to
mandate another release candidate, but there are not many patches
because people are probably holding back in the release phase...
I think that next week another rc should be published (this time as a
proper tarball to check for any "distribution" problems) which would be
final rc in this release, we could wait for a week or two and if there
are no bug reports a release should be made. The sooner the better.
