A while back I vaguely remember seeing something on this forum that the latest jlink dongles were having some problems running with OpenOCD. Now I can¹t seem to find the post when I need it the most. I was hoping other jlink users might be able to quickly jog my memory as to what the issue was and the resolution if any.
I currently have an Atmel SAM-ICE which is basically a restricted jlink with older firmware. For the most part this has ran fine in OpenOCD. Unfortunately I have a new project that requires a processor from a different manufacturer and obviously won¹t work with the SAM-ICE dongles I current have. Before I buy one of the unrestricted Segger devices I figured it might be a prudent thing to do a quick investigation first.
