The open organization community at Opensource.com is proud to announce the immediate release of The Open Organization Workbook, the sixth book in the Open Organization book series.
The Open Organization Workbook features contributions from more than 30 managers, educators, technologists, consultants, and other experts, who offer concrete and actionable strategies for putting the principles of transparency, inclusivity, adaptability, collaboration, and community into practice. Organizations including Microsoft, Buffer, Harvard University, Code for America, and Red Hat contributed case studies to this book, which also contains step-by-step exercises teams can use to sharpen their skills at working more openly. Several Open Organization Ambassadors—including (in alphabetical order) Jono Bacon, Rebecca Fernandez, Laura Hilliger, Jen Kelchner, Sam Knuth, Angela Robertson, and Jimmy Sjölund—contributed significantly to the volume. A digital, Creative Commons-licensed version of the book is available now at Opensource.com [1]. A paperback edition will be available soon from publishing partner Lulu [2]. The Open Organization Workbook joins previous community-produced companions to Jim Whitehurst's 2015 book, The Open Organization, including The Open Organization Leaders Manual and The Open Organization Guide to IT Culture Change, all of which are available from Opensource.com [3]. The open organization community welcomes your feedback on the new book, the source code for which is available on GitHub [4]. If you enjoy the book and find it useful, the community invites you to share it. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Links: [1] https://opensource.com/open-organization/resources/workbook [2] http://www.lulu.com/shop/search.ep?contributorId=1425463 [3] https://opensource.com/open-organization/resources/book-series [4] https://github.com/open-organization-ambassadors/open-org-workbook _______________________________________________ Openorg-list mailing list [email protected] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/openorg-list
