Welcome, everyone, to the final Open Organization Ambassadors Report of
2017!

The open organization community at Opensource.com finished the year with
notable momentum. We published 9 articles in December, and our materials
generated 20,716 page views. Moreover, we welcomed our newest Open
Organization Ambassador, Angela Robertson of Microsoft, and released the
sixth book in the _Open Organization_ book series, _The Open
Organization Workbook_. Subscriptions to our weekly email newsletter
also surpassed the 3,000 mark! Read on for details.

We're eager to see what 2018 will bring and are full of excitement about
the year ahead. Here's to another great one!

In December, we proudly welcomed Angela Robertson [1] of Microsoft as
the newest Open Organization Ambassador. Angela leads a product
documentation team, writes frequently about open leadership, and
contributed a case study to _The Open Organization Workbook_.

On December 14, the open organization community at Opensource.com
released _The Open Organization Workbook_ [2], the sixth book in the
_Open Organization_ book series. In the works since June 2017, the book
collects case studies and best practices teams can review and implement
together as they work to become more open.

#### {5} Looking Ahead ####
###########################

Our next Open Organization Ambassadors meeting will occur January 11 at
the usual time (10:00 Eastern / 15:00 UTC) [1]. We'll hear updates from
the community, touch base on current writing projects, and set our
project roadmap for the 2018 calendar year. Please stop in to help shape
the group's direction for the coming 12 months!

To celebrate the release of _The Open Organization Workbook_, we're
preparing to host an #OpenOrgChat Twitter chat. That chat will occur
January 18 at 14:00 Eastern. If you'd like to be included in the
planning—and receive advance access to chat questions—drop Bryan a line.

Paperback copies of _The Open Organization Workbook_ are currently in
production and should be widely available before the end of January.
