This policy is not to discourage or to be exclusive or selective. The point is to insure that companies donating the hardware and monies directly to the project get it to the project and not to someone claiming to be associated with the project.
Moc is the elected project leader. If you want to dontate hardware or money to support the project, email Moc so that he can be aware, and so that efforts can be directed accordingly. If you want to put effort in the form of time in, write the patches up and submit them If you have a need for a specific feature, and you raent comfortable with donating hardware/money directly, try posting a bounty, I'm sure someone will take you up on that.
