The channel driver is the issue. The library and the drivers are all
packaged together from Sangoma. Getting the data from the channels is
not that difficult and libpri can do the signaling if necessary. We do
have plans to plug a DS3 into a machine and Zaptel has worse performance
than the old 8250 RS-232 interface. I have never in my life seen
interrupt rates that bad before.
