Thanks Frank, that sounds great. Two other people from the CallWeaver
team contacted me a few weeks ago, here are the tips I gave them:

1/ Checkout astfin.org and try to build it. This will give you a feel
for how Asterisk is set up on our platform. BTW astfin is a bit of a
work in progress so pls forgive us/suggest improvements if you see
anything that needs work. The goal is a single 'make' will generate an
executable image, combining the kernel, and various uClinux
applications.

I have some intro material on the older build system (uCasterisk) here:

http://www.rowetel.com/ucasterisk/ucasterisk.html#buildprocess

This material is still applicable, but astfin is a little more
sophisticated.

2/ See if you can work out how to build Callweaver inside astfin.
Astfin is based on buildroot, not sure if you have used it. The idea is
a bunch of makefiles download and patch x86 tar-balls to make them run
on the embedded target. Its a fairly complex make environment, but
makes sense a after a few days study.

Let me or the astfin team know if u get stuck. BTW there are also other
ways to build CallWeaver apart from astfin, so feel free to experiment
if you find an easier way, or a way you are more comfortable with.

This job will be mostly Makefiles I suspect.

Thanks,

David
