Setup a Linux or BSD box with OpenPBX and Spandsp for T38 fax and Samba for connection to an existing Windows LAN which is sitting behind
a simple NAT router (Freesco) on which I am able to open up any necessary ports.
My initial aims are
a) to send TIFF files and destination canonical fax numbers from this setup to a remote SIP/T38 relay which is connected to the PSTN.
b) receive and retrieve TIFF files from from T38 enabled ATA's both on the local LAN and at remote locations on the INternet.
I have set up Linux boxes in the remote past but wish to avoid fighting that learning curve all over again.
I'm looking for someone who can give me detailed, written, hand-holding, step by step, instructions (every command line) on how to set up

I'm looking for someone who can give me detailed, written, hand-holding, step by step, instructions (every command line) on how to set up
this box assuming that I have reasonable knowledge of Visual Basic programming, can, with some effort, more or less figure out C++ and
Java code,
but have virtualy zilch knowledge of Linux/BSD, even the basics such as compiling and installing packages, patches and the
like.
Anyone out there who can help?
