Someone told me a rumour that Altera has some freely downloadable fitter or
whatever that runs under Linux. Can anyone confirm that?

You're right: they are passed left-associatively, and fixed up later.
That way the parser does not need to know about associativity and
precedence.

So it's not a bug. Just something you need to know about -ddump-parsed!

|=20
| I noticed that GHC 6.2.2 always parse infix operators as they were
| left-associative. For example:
|=20
| %%%%%
| Prelude> :info :
| -- : is a data constructor
| infixr 5 :
| (:) :: forall a. a -> [a] -> [a]
| Prelude> 1:2:3:[]
|=20
| =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D Parser =
=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D
| ((1 GHC.Base.: 2) GHC.Base.: 3) GHC.Base.: GHC.Base.[]
|=20
|=20
| [1,2,3]
| %%%%%
|=20
| I suppose that the parse tree is then "fixed" in a later stage.
|=20
| (Or maybe the parse tree is fine but it gets unparsed in the wrong
way?)
|=20
| However, the output above is a bit puzzling to me. Should I report
this
| as a minor bug or is this the intended output?
|=20
| Thanks to your attention,
| Zun.

Would anyone be able to quote how wishable this is ? Or... how much of=20=

an offense is this to the "SOA principles" ?
This is kind of related to stateful resources, like WSRF or many other=20=

GRID efforts.

I'd love echoes about usage of such, say, with Axis...

Or much simpler rpm -e udev and drop back to the "good old way" :-)

Philip and list,

Progress in Qumran history is possible. After all, you helped, along with John
Kampen and Fergus Millar and others in warning against the old saw that Essenes
derived from the 1, 2 Maccabees Hasidim. That mistake is tied into the wrong
proposal of the too early Jonathan as wicked priest. (Speculation: 1 Maccabees
was written in Jannaeus' time, and harmonious with some of his changes?)

Philip, I see the starting place (already passed anyway) differently than you.
But perhaps you could take your first paragraph, with its I would have thought
difficult mention of intention, and answer for us your own two-part question.
Do some texts qualify, pass your proposed text, in your view? Plainly, I think
some texts can be used, with care, for history. (Example. pNah does refer to an
88 BCE event.) Do you?

best,
Stephen Goranson

This also points to an APIC problem (or an ACPI problem?). You should be a=
ble=20
to boot in failsafe mode, giving you a text console. You will then need to=
=20
use vi to edit /etc.lilo.conf.

vi /etc/lilo.conf
#hit 'i' to put you into insert mode
#go to the main boot stanza and on the append line, inside the quotes, add
NOAPIC NOLAPIC ACPI=3DOFF
#you will have to experiment with each of these setting, turning them on an=
d=20
#off, one at at time, as Ron suggests, until you find which settings are=20
right for your motherboard - it's hardware specific
#when you've done that hit 'Esc' to put you into command mode
#then type
:wq
#and you should be back at your console command.

When you make any changes to lilo.conf it is necessary to run
/sbin/lilo
before the changes take effect.

Yep, I can assume your on a windows box.

Clinet: some windows version <- I guess
Server: no idea here <- I guess

CVSNT does not like network drives. It says so somewhere in the docs.

Don't use it.

I had this issue when I started using TortoiseCVS. It installs CVSNT.

So I started investigating this, and played around with CVSNT and then
found CVSHOME.

I pulled the latest binaries from cvshome.org, set them up and have no
troubles with my sandbox being on a network drive, or a mapped drive for
that matter.

But my CVSROOT is on our linux box at the office (my workstation is at
home, XP Pro)

That's all I can add to this.

Walter

Gilbert, consider using cygwin on windows. Here are the awk and perl
scipts called by bash to do this. I try it in Ant, but I am not yet so
good at it.

FLORIDA BRACES FOR FIRST FREEZING WEATHER OF SEASON
Florida braced for its coldest temperatures of the season as the National
Weather Service issued freeze warnings or watches for 48 of the states 67
counties Tuesday. Freeze warnings for temperatures forecast to remain at 32
degrees or below for an hour or more were in effect over most of north Florida
and into central Florida as far south as Orange County, which includes Orlando.

PEOPLE LINE STREETS OF OLD NAPLES FOR CHRISTMAS PARADE
This year, parade-goers werent wearing Santa hats for looks. At 58 degrees and
dropping, with wind gusts up to 18 mph, folks lined up Tuesday night along
Fifth Avenue South in Naples wearing fleece, hats and layers to stay warm.
Its a little chilly, but its just like Christmas, said Ronnie Schaeffer,
watching the citys annual Christmas parade with her husband, Ed, and
granddaughter, Bailey, 2.

SIGNAGE PROBLEM MAY SINK NAPLES BAY BOAT SPEED ZONES
Naples Bay boat speed zones are not enforceable because the signs marking the
zones dont have a state permit or city ordinance number on them, according to
state reviewers. The problem has come to light just weeks after the Naples City
Council voted to adopt stricter boat speed zones on the bay after months of
debate that featured opposition from Collier County commissioners and local
boaters.

COLLIER TO USE $180M IN BONDS TO FINANCE PROJECTS
Collier County commissioners have approved using $180 million in revenue bonds
to pay for five construction projects. Commissioners on Tuesday unanimously
authorized the bond sale. It will finance construction on the North Naples
Regional Park, the courthouse annex, a courthouse parking garage, a new
emergency operations center and a county fleet facility.

POLLARA OFFERS FAGAN JOB AT EAST NAPLES EATERY
In June, former Marco Island police Officer Mike Fagan was fired for
associating with local Realtor and developer Frank Pollara, who has a felony
record. Now Fagan is going to work for Pollara. Pollara, who owns the Marco
Island Real Estate Center at 1811 San Marco Road, has offered Fagan a job as
manager of Mangos Grill and Marina Inc. in Naples.

IN PERSPECTIVE:
JAY AMBROSE: STANDING UP FOR FREEDOM
Says Fred Smith, whose illuminating conceptualizations pour forth at something
like a dozen per minute, its a thin line out there justifying liberty, just a
handful of great thinkers in the past and very few activists taking on the
enemy in political combat. But Smith is doing it, and his Competitive
Enterprise Institute is doing it, and you feel that if it came down to just him
and CEI against the world, the world would be at a disadvantage.

FLORIDIANS WHO LOST HOMES TO STORMS COULD GET $1,500 TAX REBATE
Floridians whose homes were destroyed in last seasons four hurricanes could
get property tax rebates of up to $1,500, under a bill approved Tuesday by a
House panel. Its one of several relief efforts lawmakers are considering. The
measure approved unanimously by the House Finance and Tax Committee is meant to
refund some of the property taxes paid on homes by people who werent able to
use them for a good part of the year.

IN NEAPOLITAN:
LETS TALK FOOD: AN OLD NAPLES CHRISTMAS
As one travels throughout the Naples area during the holiday season, it is
difficult to imagine what the Christmas holiday was like 50 years ago. Imagine
if you will, a tiny village of about 2,000 people, one traffic light, two
churches, two schools, no condominiums, one theater, two grocery stores and few
restaurants. I arrived in Naples on Oct. 1, 1952, when the population was a
scarce 2,000 pioneering souls.
