Lesson(s) to be learned
$ /cw/bin/rpm -q openpkg apache
openpkg-20020408-20020408
apache-1.3.22-1.0.4
# /cw/etc/rc apache start
Warning: Permanently added 'localhost' (RSA1) to the list of known hosts.
apache: bad user name %{l_npusr}
/cw/sbin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started
/cw/etc/rc:WARNING: script `/cw/etc/rc.d/rc.apache:start' returned non-null (0) return
code
While the underlying problem regarding the changed user names is well
known, the interesting thing to note here is that both building and
installing worked fine and the error occured at run-time only. This
situation would not be caught by PMOD activities. Wouldn't it improve
quality to let OpenPKG fail if a variable substitution failes?
