So maybe too soon to post... I now ported the openpkg rpm to AIX ppc (and ia64 partially). I still have problems though because I need perl for automake/autoconf stuff and I cannot compile perl on AIX using the openpkg gcc properly :-( As soon as I get again access to this machine I will post the issue.
