I can not get around without X (as a matter of fact my only reason installing openkkg was to get latest emacs with X11 support. My working version was 19.3x which is not supported by a particular lisp functionality I needed) but as I said, changing emacs.spec to use Solaris compiler allowed me to build emacs with X11 support.
