We at OpenPKG are currently writing a informational paper on how developers can create their own local cvs repository of OpenPKG packages. We plan to finish that paper within two weeks. The instructions will enable developers to either: - contribute their improvements to the OpenPKG community or - maintain their local changes over a long time Kolab, until now, created local changes and did not explicitly contribute them but tried to maintain local changes. The past has shown that it was hard for the OpenPKG team to get that changes back into the mainstream and it was also hard for the Kolab team to stay on track with OpenPKG. Having that said I hope you will try minimize local changes and try hard to push them down to zero. I'm looking forward to both teams working more closely together so any Kolab changes can be taken over early as a contribution to enhance the next release of OpenPKG and eventually allow the next release of Kolab to be build on a OpenPKG *release* rathen than a collection of CURRENT or local modified packages. It would be nice for the Kolab community if the Kolab activities within ZfOS will finally reduce to a storage for binaries or even less. -- [EMAIL PROTECTED], Cable & Wireless ______________________________________________________________________ The OpenPKG Project www.openpkg.org Developer Communication List [EMAIL PROTECTED]
