I'm climbing the learning curves for zope, plone, and python now, and it looks like I'm going to need a variety of packages for python (e.g. psychopg for postgresql access).
Are there tools for OpenPKG similiar to the perl-openpkg tool to build OpenPKG packages of python modules? I figured this out for perl years ago (the PERL_INSTALL_ROOT environment variable in the perl ExtUtils::Install module allowing easy installation relative to a directory was my patch :-), but haven't a clue WRT python.
