When updating an existing postgresql installation from Release 1.3 to
Release 2.0, the instructions in the spec file don't completely cover the
dump/restore process. The new version of postgresql no longer has a
template0 so the restore from the previous fails.
The workaround that I used was to create a template0 database before doing
the restore seems to have worked:
cd $l_prefix/var/postgresql # lazy way to shorter path
pg_createdb -U postgresql template0
bzcat db.dump.sql.bz2 | psql -U postgresql
pg_dropdb -U postgresql template0
