I ran into an ``interesting'' problem today building perl-mail on
a SuSE 9.0 Professional system where it started into the manual
configuration for CPAN.  This didn't work very well in an
non-interactive mode.

I probably won't get a chance to look into this in detail until
next week.  My thought is that perhaps the base perl package
should check for the appropriate CPAN Config.pm file, creating a
reasonable default file if one isn't present.

FWIW, After I ran the CPAN shell manually, and created the
default configuration for the unpriviledged openpkg user, the
build of perl-mail asked again for a couple of additional options
which weren't covered in the basic setup.
