I was looking at the CURRENT version of ntp after finding a problem with the pid file processing in Release 2.2, and found that the problem has been addresses by putting the location in the etc/ntp/ntp.conf file instead of handling it in the run control script, rc.d/rc.ntp where I had fixed it by moving the ntp_pidfile definition to the %config section, and appending ``-p $ntp_pidfile'' to the %start command.
IHMO, it's cleaner to keep this in the rc.ntp file than to put it in the ntp.conf file (a) because it simplifies the processing in the run control file, and (b) probably isn't something that the admin is going to change, and (c) would more logically be changed in the rc.conf file.
