I just spent a fair amount of time trying to figure out why the
run control status command for mysql returned unknown when the
system was active. It turned out to be the ownership of the
%{l_prefix}/mysql/my.pwd needs to be the restricted user, not
root as the status function runs as the restricted user.
This doesn't show up unless one has assigned a password to the
mysql server.
