Thanks Ralf. When we are at it, maybe you could look at the following patch, which adds LSOF_CC environment variable to Configure invocation in LSOF's spec file. It adds possibility of enforcing the C compiler. It doesn't change anything for working platforms, but makes building on unsupported ones (like Solaris/AMD64 which has 32bit gcc only) easier.
