Well I contacted the rpm-devel list for the misc problems encountered during the AIX / PASE build of rpm 4.2.1 and will see if they have some advices.

Henri - I've been running into the same problems with OpenPKG on AIX. I've tried AIX 4.3.3 through 5.3, all with the same results. Let me know if you have any luck.
