This I cannot really believe, Michael. Yes, the RRDs.so seems to require
FreeType (and also PNG and Zlib, etc), but it certainly doesn't require
it to be available as a DSO itself. It is usually fully sufficient to
link the static libfreetype.a into the RRDs.so -- similar to what we
have done for a dozend other Perl modules...
