| Summary: PostGIS GIS Extension for PostgreSQL Database
| URL:      http://www.postgis.org/
| Description:
| PostGIS adds support for geographic objects to the PostgreSQL
object-relational database.
| In effect, PostGIS "spatially enables" the PostgreSQL server, allowing
it to be used as
| a backend spatial database for geographic information systems (GIS),
much like ESRI's SDE
| or Oracle's Spatial extension. PostGIS follows the OpenGIS "Simple
Features Specification for SQL"
| and will be submitted for conformance testing at version 1.0.
|
| PostGIS recommends the usage of the two packages geos and proj. If their
usage is enabled through
| correponding package-options, these packages have to be installed
seperatly.
|
| PostGIS supplies a jdbc-driver that allows access of postgis extended
types from java. You can enable
| the creation of the driver through the with_jdbc option. You need an
installed JDK-package to create
| the driver and the original postgres-jdbc-driver for your server is
expected as prosgresql.jar
|      in /opt/pintomap/share/java.
| Provides:
|     postgis::with_proj = yes
|     postgis::with_geos = yes
|     postgis::with_jdbc = yes
