I just released this as modified.  Thanks Ralf.

I don't have a Solaris 9 Sparc system available (and don't know
how to use the build farm to get access to one :-).  I have a
Sparc IPX sitting under a bench somewhere, but it's horribly slow
and doesn't have enough RAM to do anything useful.
