I got it. Next question:

How do I start/stop in rc.dracd in a platform independent way, if
the daemon doesn't write a pidfile?
Do I have to "case/esac" with ps -e/ps -ax or is there a rpmtool/shtool/xxxtool
to start a process and write a pidfile?

Thanks
