Hi Ralf,

using openpkg build postfix -Dpostfix::with_mysql=yes | sh,
postfix does not build with mysql support currently.

(...)

Sorry, this I do not understand at all. The "%{l_make} makefiles" is
already run just a few lines below in postfix.spec. So I do not see
why running it once more before should make any differences here.
Additionally, your explicitly set CCARGS then misses the already set
flags in CCARGS, too.

oups yes, did not see this just below, so forget about my silly patch !

And I've now built Postfix from OpenPKG CURRENT with with_mysql=yes
under both FreeBSD and Linux. And in both cases the "postconf -m"
reported "mysql". I append you the logs of both my FreeBSD and Linux
built to this mail. Please compare this with your output. There has to
be some difference. Or are you using a different OpenPKG branch? As you
have not mentioned the branch, I assumed CURRENT...

I'm using E1.0 .. in fact just retried twice with

openpkg build postfix -Dwith_mysql=yes | sh
openpkg build postfix -Dpostfix::with_mysql=yes | sh

(as suggested by openpkg man build)

and in both cases i get no mysql map support ..
(attached the 2 logs, first truncated to postfix
build only, as it had much dependencies)

Am I using an old unsupported syntax for the -D ?

Would be really happy to know what went wrong and why !

PS: there are much errors with permissions settings wrong, too,
that still prevents postfix from running out of the openpkg box
currently. Will try to figure out how to fix this and post a
patch later on !

Are you really sure on this? I've just installed a Postfix 2.3.7 from
OpenPKG CURRENT (under FreeBSD 6.2) the last days and it works like a
charm. I do not see any permissions problems or any other problems.

not able to reproduce this, the builds below are working ok. The
problematic build was done with --ba postfix.spec .. Should be able
to retry in the same environnement from a backup .. maybe an error
on my side.. if i installed the package as openpkg instead of root,
it could explain the problem. Did not RTFM enought yet to know if there
are restrictions to installing a package as openpkg user ;-)
