I was going to drop a notice here about it, but since you've already mentioned
it I can as well continue in this thread.

So, as some of you might have noticed, there is now an openrisc organization
started on github.
The motivation for it is that it seems like a lot of people involved
in the OpenRISC
project enjoy using github in their workflow (me included),
so the idea is to tie together the various efforts going on there.
It wasn't really a planned decision, just something that came up in
discussion on IRC with Jeremy Bennett and Julius Baxter yesterday.

I've added people I know have OpenRISC related projects going on on
github to the generic OpenRISC team, but I bet there are more people
out there that ought to be members.
I've also forked a couple of their repos
(Peter Gavin's or1k-src and or1k-gcc and Ruben Diez orbuild) and
created teams for them and gave the admin rights to the respective member.
Jeremy Bennett have created an or1ksim repo and Julius Baxter one for
his recently announced mor1kx core.
I've also forked my LLVM/Clang work in there.
More to be added, and if I have understood things correctly,
everybody in the OpenRISC team should be able to create new
repositories within this team (everybody in this team have
push, pull & admin rights to repos that belongs to this team though)
It'd be great if people would "double push" to their own repos
and the openrisc one.

This brings me to the issue of admin rights, I'm a
github-organization-newbie, so I might have some things wrong here, but:
>From what I can tell only owners can create new teams, which is something
I would like anybody be able to do, but owners also have admin rights over all
repos in the organization, which I don't think we want.
At the moment me, Jeremy and Julius are listed as owners, the only
reasoning behind this is that we were the ones that happened to be
discussing thing on IRC, not that we in anyway deserve a superior position
than anyone else =)

Let me know what you think.

Stefan
