Hello,
I think I saw some mention of development of Linux for OpenRISC being

by dynamic linking not working. Is that still the case in mid-2013?
Hi Iscray,
The old stable compiler (GCC 4.5.1) only supported static linking.
The new development compiler, based on the GCC 4.8 code base supports
dynamic linking.
The old compiler went through commercial development to make it robust
enough for space development (OpenRISC processors flew on TechEdSat). So
it has very few regression failures and has had heavy testing.
The new compiler, while still of good quality, and much more up to date,
has not been through this level of testing, and I believe still has some
regression failures.
Declaration of interest. My company provided the commercial development
of OpenRISC 4.5.1. We can provide that same service for the new compiler
if desired.
Best wishes,
Jeremy
