Hi all,
I'm aware that OpenRISC has been used in satellite hardware,
(not sure if that was in an FPGA, ASIC, or regular chip)
and in a mass-produced Allwinner ARM chip as a coprocessor.
But is there any company making an OpenRISC CPU that
can stand on its own and isn't in an FPGA?
Hi Iscray,
Flextronics made the first ASIC about 8 years ago. Since then it's been
used by Jennic (now part of NXP) in their ZigBee chips and is currently
in some Samsung set-top boxes. Beyond Semiconductor make the BA12, BA14
and BA22 chips, which have some heritage from OpenRISC.
