That's exactly what I use for my own setup projects.
I am used to that and may be able to help if ever needed.
Not sure I'll have the answers, but if you ever have a question, ask anyway.

Be prepared to rework a lot your existing setup script though.
Those new InstallShield scripts are event-driven and converting a previous
version script is not a straightforward work. I had better results at
re-writing them all from scratch with the new concepts and behaviour in
mind.
