Hi all!
We are approaching the end of October, which means that the October
release will (must) happen pretty soon, lest it shall become a November
release. To avoid too many duplicated commits caused by merging between
the develop branch and the release branch, we will try a different
approach this time. Instead of merging the branches, we will create a
new release branch for the October release at the time of the code
freeze. For this reason, the release branch is currently closed until
the code freeze next week. Please don't push anything to the release
branch until then. Once the code freeze has happened, we will send out a
new announcement and after that you can start pushing bug-fixes for the
October release to the release branch.
