Mostly in amfnd there is a lots of "destroy" code used in a failure scenario
during startup. The top function is avnd_destroy() called when avnd_create()
fails. After this the process exit. There seems to be no point in maintaining
this functionality. It can safely be removed. The main thing it does is to
return memory. This could have been needed earlier to detect memory leaks when
an internal heap manager was used. Now with tools like valgrind this is not
needed.
