For debugging purposes, it can be useful to find out how OpenSAF was configured 
and built. One suggestion is to add a --version option to the OpenSAF binaries, 
that prints this information. It could also be included in core dumps.

The information to print could be the command line options and environment 
variables that were given to the ./configure autotools script, as well as the 
compiler version that was used to build OpenSAF.
