** [tickets:#909] base: ncs_os_posix_shm() fails on glibc 2.19**

**Status:** fixed
**Milestone:** 4.3.3
**Created:** Tue May 13, 2014 03:17 PM UTC by Anders Widell
**Last Updated:** Wed May 21, 2014 11:43 AM UTC
**Owner:** Anders Widell

OpenSAF fails to create shared memory segments on glibc 2.19, since this
version of glibc has a stricter validation of the shared memory segment name.
Specifically, the name of the shared memory segment must start with a slash
character, and not contain any more shash characters in the name apart from the
first one.
