** [tickets:#455] osaf: port existing daemonization and nid process to systemd
"new-style" daemon**
**Status:** fixed
**Milestone:** 4.5.FC
**Created:** Wed Jun 12, 2013 12:01 PM UTC by Anders Widell
**Last Updated:** Mon Jun 02, 2014 09:19 PM UTC
**Owner:** Alex Jones
Migrated from <http://devel.opensaf.org/ticket/1715>
Currently OpenSAF is semi-following the SysV-way of creating daemon process.
Upcoming Linux distributions like Fedora 15 will be adopting the systemd
"new-style" daemons.
Changes will be needed to prevent SysV daemonizing, also systemd will offer
more flexibility to deprecate nid sequencer, since service dependencies will be
availble.
