In the current OpenSAF implementation fault of only director components and
amfnd leads to nodereboot (nodefailfast). AMF spec section 3.11.1.4 page 198
says that:

"Note that combined recovery and repair actions like the node failfast are also
disabled
when saAmfSGAutoRepair is set to SA_FALSE."

So, I think, what is required is the full support of saAmfSGAutoRepair and
support of
"repaired" admin operation on Node. At present these two only works in the case
of su-failover.

** [tickets:#1113] AMF: add support for MW standbyErrorRecovery**

**Status:** unassigned
**Milestone:** 4.6.FC

To improve system HA a separate standby entity error recovery should be
supported.

Normally there is no point in rebooting the standby controller node if a
component of the hosted MW 2N SU fails. This is the default behavior today. It
should be enough with component restart and have normal error escalation take
of more severe problems.

Please note that non MW SUs can be hosted and assigned active on the standby
controller.

How this is actually supported/implemented is not clear. It can be done 1) in a
hardcoded (in the code) way or 2) by actually implement general support for
this is in the model.

Alt 1 has been quickly prototyped.
