If an application is distributed over nodes in a cluster, it will need to
specify a unique ID in order to understand from where the log is coming from.
For example if the application is called "somesvc" then it would need to call
LOG with "somesvc@PL5" to track origin.
The host part easily be provided by LOG instead. A new format specifier for a
stream could indicate if LOG should output this information to file.
