Hi, You can run any kind of application using a non pre-instantiable, non sa-aware component, if you need a sa-aware component you have the possibility of writing a wrapper in C as well, just to deal with the OpenSAF API. The python bindings are just for when you want to use OpenSAF API from a python program, but for now the bindings are not really pythonic, so not much advantage over a pure C wrapper. So after deciding if you want a sa-aware or non sa-aware component, you can probably look the samples directory and get a general idea.
