Nivrutti,

The project doesn't offer any commercial license. So weather you can use it in a commercial application or not is something you have to conclude after having your attorneys reviewing the LGPL license.

My *personal* conclusion here is that LGPL is a license that allows for dynamic (and static as long as you provide a mean to rebuild the libraries) linking without creating derivative work though. This should make it a good candidate for a commercial application. You will obviously need to pay careful attention to the source distribution clause of LGPL. *I am not an attorney* though so please don't take my word as a statement from the copyright holders of the code. I am not giving you any permission to use the code in any other way that LGPL dictates;-)

Hope this helps

Hi All,

As openSAF comes with LGPL license, can we use the open source openSAF in
the form of shared libraries in commercial deployments?
or do we need any more license to use it in commercial deployments?

Is openSAF website migrated to new platform?

Thanks & Regards,
Nivrutti
