HI Mohan,
First off, thanks for your reply! We have yet to try your suggestions. We are in the middle of adding a new application to be managed by osaf. We're planning to create a new SG to manage this app, so that if this app ever needs to be taken out-of-service (locked), we want to do so without bringing down the current apps that are already being managed by osaf. At the same time, we want all the apps to be running with their Active HA state on the same node. So, if one fails over, we want all the apps to fail over. Thus, the reason for my question. Basically, we wanted to know if this is feasible and it sounds like it is. You case description matches with Node failover. 1. Will node failover work for you? You can set saAmfNodeSuFailoverMax to 0 and let escalation happen. Or 2. you can set recommended recovery action as node failover/switchover? Or 3. call a common cleanup script to kill components of each SU and let everyone get SU failover triggered? Basically, we want to manage several services separately but at the same time, keep their Active SU co-located on the same node. So if one service needs to failover, the other Active SUs automatically failover too.
