  I have a vague recollection that something happened after Acrobat 7.0.1 to make this occur.   You could revert back to an earlier version of Acrobat and test this yourself...  If it is indeed the case, then one would assume the problem is with Adobe, and not OpenSC.

I have no idea why, and a rapid search on Google doesn't give any useful help. On Windows, Acrobat uses CSP and not the PKCS#11, so I can not compare the situation on both platforms.

Any idea?
