I don't know any more what the issues exactly were, but I gave mingw a
try and didn't get very far. I guess we would need native windows header
files or something like that, and maybe a lot more from vs/vc, so there
would be no legal advantage in using mingw.
currently scb contains openssl, opensc, libp11, engine_pkcs11, libltdl,
putty, csp11, and all those together need a lot of windows specific
header files, not sure if mingw can provide all that.
If it works with MinGW then perhaps it can be made to work also when
cross-compiling and voila there's automated builds..
well, currently I unpack all files, type "nmake /f Makefile.mak" and
everything is build. in the future I might add svn co and wget/unzip
operations too to make the build 100% automatic. mingw isn't needed for
that.
