most important for me would be: can the resultung binary be used with CSPs?
if not, it is of little use. also if configure flags change, it is very 
important to let all distribution people know what changed, and preferable
propose one common way how to configure opensc (so the support overhead is
less).

also we might need some tool that tells us how opensc was compiled. e.g.
opensc-tool --info
OpenSC Version 0.a.b (compiled with options: A B C)

or something like that. otherwise supporting users is very hard.

As I find little to no time for opensc, I'm happy for everyone willing to 
invest time to improve it and support users.
