None of these is my hope.  PKCS #11 is way too complex and still does
not support much of the stuff needed for secure on-line provisioning of
keys in smart cards.

OpenSC as a kitchen sink for all kinds of cards is unlikely to be of any
interest to the Open Source community.

If PKI cards can't be made to work like USB memory sticks (just plug them in),
there is something wrong because the complexity is not that different.
