Dear friends, I read a lot of information on the mailing list about current projects. Some projects like PostgreSQL have a to-do list page, where all ideas are collected by authorized persons.
Example: http://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/Todo The page is not a commitment, but just a list of ideas with priorities. Interested developers only need to pick-up issues. Now, IMHO, OpenSC priorities would be: * Porting libccid from libusb 0.1 to libusb 1.0. * Adding a mechanism to integrate OpenCT and libccid without conflict. This would allow to use authentication token and smartcards easily. Making different packages with different compilation options is not a working solution if we refer to usability. I contacted several developers in the Gnome project to integrate OpenSC in common interfaces. We are expected to solve some issues to make OpenSC a common tool in GNU/Linux and other systems. Writing a free driver token is a nice project, but IMHO simple issues should be fixed before. Then you can go on any kind of project.
