What API/ABI stability are you talking about?

libopensc no longer installs any public headers, which effectively
prevents any other application from directly linking against it. I was
under the impression that this change was done so that people wouldn't
have to worry about libopensc API stability: libopensc would only be
used internally in opensc and thus could be changed at will, as long as
every API user _inside_ opensc gets fixed up.
