Hello list,

I'm new here, and sorry if my question might be discussed before. I
didn't found any answer whatsoever.
So I have the following problem:
I have Siemens Card OS 4.3b smart cards. So far I've been using
Charismathics Smart Security Interface Admin Edition for creating a
PKCS15 profile on card.
Now I'm in the research of another tool for creating PKCS15 profile and
I found the opensc-tool along with pkcs15-init tools.
I tried to create a profile on my Siemens cards with the following command
# pkcs15-init -C
and than entered some PIN numbers. The problem is at the end I get the
error:
"Failed to create PKCS #15 meta structure: Unsupported INS byte in APDU"

I searched all over google but didn't find a reasonable solution of that
problem. So is it possible in the first place to create a profile on a
Siemens card OS 4.3b with opensc?
If it's possible please tell me where I went wrong. I also tried with
# pkcs15-init -C --so-pin 123456 --pin 1234
but it's the same error. I tried as well to erase an already formatted
card with
# pkcs15-init -E
but I get error "Failed to erase card: Unsupported INS byte in APDU"

What is wrong here? I believe that it's not a command mistake. May be
this card OS is not supported by pkcs15-init tool.
My system is ubuntu latest and
# opensc-tool -i
opensc 0.11.12 [gcc 4.4.3]
Enabled features: zlib iconv openssl openct pcsc(/lib/libpcsclite.so.1)
nsplugin

Can anyone help?

Thanks.
Best Regards,
