No, not the Windows update deal but automatic configuration of necessary registry keys on OpenSC installation.

In Microsoft as in Windows Update process? No idea, you'd need to ask MS about it. But I don't see how two different minidrivers could service the same card, the spec does not mention such situation and it would not make much sense either. Probably the installer should intelligently detect clashes.
